What Freedom Means to Her

Katlego Ncala, the first South African Miss Teen World is very grateful for the freedom she has in today's world. Ncala says "I want girls to know the freedom is what they make of it. The men and women that lost their lives fighting for us are gone, but it's up to us now to make them proud, to prove that their blood was not in vain." Ncala understands that the people before this time tried their hardest to change the future for us, and it finally has. She says that their death went for the cause that they were fighting for.

It is great to see people today understanding that the lives they live today are because of the effort that their ancestors put in. I believe that the world changed for the better. During this class we focused on just the history of the American struggles, but to see these struggles change throughout the whole world is amazing.
